What is a HIMSS collaboration you’re really proud of?

The HIMSS Georgia Chapter is the health information and technology expert in the Georgia ecosystem.  When community organizations want to put on a healthcare technical event, they reach out the HIMSS Georgia Chapter for panelists, content and collaboration.

What is one of the biggest challenges you’ve encountered, and how did you overcome it?

Keeping peers engaged during COVID-19.  However, it has helped to stay positive and be willing to try new things.

What advice do you have for someone who might want to enter the health information and technology industry?

Be open to trying new things. Be open to new ideas. And always be open to partnering and working with anyone on a solution.         

If you could do anything for the rest of your life, what would that be?

I know it sounds corny, but staying president of the HIMSS Georgia Chapter.  It has been one of the most rewarding opportunities I’ve had in my career.
