Providers’ point of view for telehealth solutions Webinar

September 22, 2021 | Chapter Event

Without a doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift to greater use of telehealth like we have never seen before. In March 2020, the federal government expanded reimbursements from federally funded health insurance like Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program and Medicare to pay for these virtual visits. But like so many transformations during this pandemic, we’re seeing some providers struggle with the expansion of telehealth programs—once thought to take years, not weeks. In addition, there is continued uncertainty if and how federal, state and private payers will continue to fund telehealth services.

Join the HIMSS Georgia Chapter on September 22 at 11:30 am ET for part 2 of a 3-part series as they bring together a panel of providers who will discuss the challenges of adopting telehealth into your practice and specific and practical solutions to overcoming those challenges. Whether you are thinking about expanding the role of telehealth in your physician practice or are looking to get unstuck from the barriers that make offering telehealth difficult, you are not alone.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Walkthrough of key steps every physician should consider when expanding their telehealth practice, including for those practicing in rural and/or smaller urban areas.
  • Role/benefit/limitations of EMR/EHR systems for virtual care during the pandemic.
  • How providers can take control of telehealth tools as an asset and not just a cost center.
  • Steps providers should take to transition from the pandemic crisis to sustainable telehealth services.
  • Views and perceptions of future-looking innovations like hospital-in-home services.
